My obligations are many and varied!

Father Michael J. McGivney established the Knights of Columbus as a mutual aid society. By serving you and your family, I am continuing the important work he started in 1882. This was a time of extreme poverty for most immigrant Catholic families in the United States. The loss of the father and breadwinner meant almost the absolute failure of the family. Now Catholics are above average wage earners compared to all other religious in the United States. Yes, we’ve come a long way.

The most important service I provide is Survivor Assistance. When a Knights of Columbus Family member loses a loved one, I am there to help the survivors go through the seven steps of settling the estate. I can aid with the arrangements at the Funeral Home, Cemetery and Parish. I can notify the Council and can assist with Veterans Affairs, Insurance Claims and Social Security if needed.

I am also your connection to the Supreme Council. I am here to be of assistance to you with your Fraternal Benefits and to answer any questions you may have about the Knights of Columbus.

In an effort to help ensure your family’s continued security, I can also help with Retirement, Insurance and Financial Planning. Father McGivney felt it was important to make my specialized training and experience available to you. My purpose is to help you look to the future for the greatest benefit for your family. Contrary to popular opinion, Financial Planning is not complicated, not expensive and is a free benefit with your Knights of Columbus membership.

I make a great effort to provide you with an Education in the areas of Retirement, Financial, and Estate Planning, along with Long Term Care Asset Protection planning. We also have an excellent future planning program for your children. It is very important to me that you clearly understand every aspect of your privileges and benefits that come with your membership in the Knights of Columbus. I do Fraternal Benefits Nights seminars at the council level that includes information from other professionals about subjects important to you. I then carry this information into annual family reviews, covering subjects in detail that pertain specifically to your family and individual situation.
